Industry and Fire

In industry heat flux sensors can be used for process monitoring,
detection of fouling, and safety systems. see also reference users.

Industry & fire research: aluminium / aluminum reduction cell efficiency, boiler heat flux, (blast) furnace safety, boiler fouling, solar concentrator control, fire research, flare monitoring, heat flux profiling in ovens.

For fire testing we Hukseflux supplies a new generation of Schmidt Boelter gauges SBG01.

A new generation of heat flux sensors can be used in industrial measurement and control systems. Examples of applications are analysis of aluminium reduction cells, detection fouling in boilers (Boiler Slagging / Fouling Sensor), finetuning of ovens (Baking Sensor), monitoring of blast furnaces (Blast Furnace Safety System / General Furnace Monitoring), flame monitoring and composites processing. Use of heat flux sensors can lead to:

  • improvements in efficiency
  • better system safety
  • automated detection of fouling and need for servicing

Hukseflux is the world market leader for the above mentioned applications. Sensors can be manufactured in accordance with industry standards; ISO 9000, and several industrial standards like ITS90, ANSI, DIN and BS, and safety standards like Eexi, ATEX / Cenelec and NAMUR.

Hukseflux sensors have been applied in intelligent sootblowing applications. The sensors can be used as replacement parts for Land Fluxdomes (As previously made by Land combustion). Industrial sensors can act as a replacement for the heat flux sensors of Kyoto Denshi (KEM).
