Thermal route survey
Main applications for soil thermal conductivity measurementsare off-shore oil and on - shore high voltage cable surveys.
Hukseflux is the present market leader in the design of needle type thermal conductivity sensors. The main application of these sensors is in measurement of soil thermal conductivity and resistivity.
There are two product categories: The first consists of scientific systems (needle types TP02 and TP08, with system type TPSYS02). The second category is systems designed for robustness rather than accuracy, with systems FTN01, MTN01 and TNS01.
The latest product in this line are:MTN01 and FTN01. This product can act as a replacement of the BAUR thermal conductivity probes as well as the Onwood 227 which was made by BICC in England.
Reference users of Hukseflux soil thermal resistivity and conductivity measurement systems.
Many models have been made on customer specification. These include heavy duty models for field use, small (miniature models for analysis of the thermal conductivity of small samples, like radioactive materials, uranium sludge, foodstuff ect. Extra short and extra strong models have been made for use in offshore soil thermal resistivity measurement. See for example our most common model TP02, and the system TPSYS.
Reference users of Hukseflux products include the world's main geotechnical companies like Fugro (braches USA, Saudi Arabia, The Netherlands), Norwegian Geotechnical Institute, Batelle (USA), Arab Center for Engineering Studies, EGS (UK and Hong Kong branches).
