MINIATURE Needle type DIFFERENTIAL TEMPERATURE Sensor

The DT06 needle type differential temperature sensor is used to perform continuous measurement of temperature differences as well as absolute temperatures. It is meant for general monitoring of industrial processes and in particular for detection of small thermal changes.

INTRODUCTION

The DT06 has been designed for studies of the energy balance of industrial installations, in particular to monitor small changes within larger processes. In this application it can be useful to monitor temperature differences between one location and the next rather than absolute temperatures.
The main components are two matched thermocouple sensors, incorporated in a fully stainless steel needles. These sensors as well as their interconnecting wires can withstand temperatures up to 450 degrees C.
The extension cable is made of Teflon.
Sensor output consists of a heat flux signal (microvolt analog signal) and type K thermocouple. DT06 sensors can be manufactured in such a way that they are fully exchangeable, which is easy for servicing.

Alternative designs: Hukseflux is specialised in heat flux sensor design. For different applications special models can be constructed.
Optional: DT06 can be made in different diameters and lengths. Extended temperature to 700 °C. (no spring)

Depending on the application, amplifiers AC100 or NAM01 are used.
